February 2 in profile
Thirteen degrees into the sign, Aquarius has settled into itself. The fixed air temperament is firm, the urge to stand slightly apart from the crowd is fully formed, and the second decan adds a Gemini layer of curiosity and variety. Mercury, the sub-ruler, makes a February 2 Aquarius quick to notice patterns and quick to comment on them. The result is someone who holds firm principles while changing their mind about almost everything else.
Taste runs to the unexpected combination: a vintage jacket with technical trainers, a bare white kitchen with one strange lamp. They read about design, keep screenshots of buildings and change their phone background weekly. Trends interest them mostly as something to step around. Compliments on their look please them less than someone asking where a piece came from, because that opens a conversation.
At home they need a room that is theirs, even if it is only a desk in a corner with the door shut. Family life works best with clear space and open talk: shared meals where everyone argues about the news, then separate evenings. They are the relative who sets up the group chat and fixes the router. The growth edge is showing up for routine family duties as willingly as for the interesting ones.
Aquarius all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Aquarius for the whole of February 2, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around January 21 and February 18.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on February 2 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for an Aquarius
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Aquarius gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a February 2 birthday, in the Gemini decan, Gemini is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a February 2 birthday
An odd, well-designed object for their desk, such as a geometric lamp or a modular shelf, chosen for its idea as much as its looks.
Asked about February 2

Is February 2 a cusp birthday?
No. The Sun is well inside Aquarius on February 2. The cusp days, when the Sun changes sign, fall around January 21 and February 18. Astrology has no blended cusp signs anyway: at any moment the Sun is in one sign.

Your birthday is only the Sun
A February 2 birthday tells you where the Sun was. The Moon, the Rising sign and eight more planets each sit somewhere of their own, and they depend on the year, the hour and the place. The free calculator shows all of them.
