How it’s calculated

A transit is a planet in the sky today making an angle to a planet or point in your birth chart. Daily horoscopes use only your Sun sign; this one starts from your whole chart, computed for your birth minute and city with the city’s historical time zone.

We follow Mars and the slow planets, Jupiter to Pluto, because their transits last long enough to shape weeks and months. Each counts when it is within orb of an exact angle to your Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Ascendant or Midheaven: 2° for Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, 1.5° for Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. For every transit you see when it enters orb, when it is exact (a retrograde planet can be exact two or three times) and when it leaves.

Each transit comes with a short reading written in advance for that planet, aspect and point. These are templates, not live AI and not predictions: astrology here is a language for reflecting on a period, never a forecast of events, health or money.

Questions

Asked often

How is this different from a daily horoscope?

A daily horoscope is written for everyone with your Sun sign, one twelfth of the world. This one is calculated from your birth chart, so two people with the same Sun sign get different transits, on different dates.

Why only 30 days, and why these planets?

Thirty days is enough to see what is building and what is fading. Fast planets like the Moon, Mercury and Venus touch every point of your chart each month or year, so we leave them to the paid month forecast and show the slower transits that set the tone.

What does “in orb” mean?

A transit is in orb while the angle is within a degree or two of exact. Slow planets can stay in orb for weeks or months, and with a retrograde they can go exact, back off, and go exact again. We show the whole pass, even the parts outside these 30 days.

Is it free?

Yes. The 30 days, the dates and the short readings cost nothing and need no account. If you want the month read in depth, by topic, there’s a paid one-month forecast and a year-ahead forecast.

Do you store my birth details?

No. They travel in the result link so you can bookmark or share it, and are used only to compute the result.
