March 2 in profile
Mid-Pisces is the sign at its most recognisable: porous, imaginative, kind and harder to pin down than it looks. Cancer lends the second decan its colour and the Moon rules it, which points that softness at people and places. A March 2 Pisces builds a shell around the few things that matter and becomes surprisingly fixed about guarding it. Mutable water still adapts to almost any situation, yet underneath sits a clear sense of who belongs inside the circle and who does not.
Courage shows up for others before it shows up for themselves. They will phone the landlord on a friend’s behalf, walk a stranger to the right platform or speak up when a child is being teased, then hesitate for weeks over applying for a job they want. Physical risk rarely appeals; emotional risk does, as long as someone else benefits. Once a cause feels personal, the hesitation simply disappears.
Anger is slow to surface and slow to leave. In an argument they go quiet, agree too early, and then replay the exchange in the shower for three days. When it finally comes out it can be sharp and oddly precise, because the Moon-ruled decan keeps careful records of hurt. Saying “that bothered me” within the same day, while it is still small, saves them a great deal of private weather.
Pisces all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Pisces for the whole of March 2, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around February 19 and March 20.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on March 2 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Here is where it was on March 2 in recent years, from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC (an arrow means it changed sign during the day).

Compatible signs for a Pisces
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Pisces gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a March 2 birthday, in the Cancer decan, Cancer is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a March 2 birthday
A weekend course in something slightly daunting, like open-water swimming or a pottery wheel class, booked with a friend so the first step feels shared.

Your birthday is only the Sun
A March 2 birthday tells you where the Sun was. The Moon, the Rising sign and eight more planets each sit somewhere of their own, and they depend on the year, the hour and the place. The free calculator shows all of them.
