October 28 in profile
Scorpio before it has learned subtlety is single-minded, and the first decan intensifies that, since Scorpio is its own sub-sign and Mars (or Pluto) its own sub-ruler. At around 4°, an October 28 Scorpio carries an energy that is raw and unpolished. They are watchful, strategic and slow to trust, yet once committed they pursue a goal with complete concentration. Fixed water gives them staying power; Mars gives them nerve.
Long-term goals are kept private until they are almost achieved. They prefer roles with real power over visible titles: the deputy who actually runs the department, the investor behind the scenes. They are prepared to wait years and to learn every detail of their field. Failure is studied closely and seldom repeated. Their CV often looks quiet until the most recent line.
First impressions are cool and composed. They shake hands firmly, hold eye contact and say little. Their gaze rests on whoever is talking, which can unsettle a nervous speaker. Many people find them intimidating, some find them magnetic. Small talk feels like a waste of time, so they ask a probing question instead. The useful habit is offering one personal detail early, a hobby or a joke, so that intensity reads as interest.
