March 17 in profile
Near the end of Pisces the sign shows its whole range: imagination, compassion and a readiness to let go. Scorpio as the decan sub-sign, ruled by Mars, makes that range more focused and less fluid than in early March. A March 17 Pisces understands people’s hidden motives, often before they want to, and uses that knowledge gently. The late degrees bring a feeling of experience beyond their years, and a sense that endings matter as much as beginnings.
They work best when given a hard problem and left alone with it. Instructions in bullet points matter less to them than knowing why a task exists. They are excellent in roles that need tact and nerve at once: negotiating, nursing, investigating, editing someone’s difficult manuscript. Deadlines are met, often at the last minute, after a long stretch of thinking that looks like nothing is happening.
Decisions come from intuition, checked against a sharp sense of risk. They notice what could go wrong and keep it to themselves. Once settled, they can be immovable, and the Scorpio influence makes reversing a choice feel like losing face. A good habit is building in a review point, a date in the diary to ask whether the choice still holds, so changing course feels planned instead of defeated.
Pisces all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Pisces for the whole of March 17, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around February 19 and March 20.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on March 17 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for a Pisces
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Pisces gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a March 17 birthday, in the Scorpio decan, Scorpio is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
