December 12 in profile
The late degrees begin here. Sagittarius at 20° has seen enough to be seasoned, and the closing ten degrees start to sense Capricorn’s practicality ahead. The third decan belongs to Leo, so the Sun becomes sub-ruler, and the archer’s vision gains a wish to be seen carrying it out. In some years the Sun still sits in the final degree of the Mars decan. A December 12 Sagittarius combines generosity with a strong sense of personal standards.
At work they want visible responsibility. They lead projects that have a public face, pitch to clients with real warmth and expect credit to be shared fairly. Grunt work is bearable if someone notices it. They mentor juniors with enthusiasm, though patience runs thin with people who never ask questions. The best jobs give them a stage and a horizon at once.
Decisions come from the gut and are defended with flair. They decide within minutes, then build the argument for it afterwards. Usually the instinct is sound, because years of experience feed it. Dithering in others frustrates them, and they may decide on behalf of the room. A one-night rule for big choices protects them: decide, sleep, read the decision again in daylight, and only then announce it to the team.
Sagittarius all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Sagittarius for the whole of December 12, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around November 23 and December 21.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on December 12 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for a Sagittarius
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Sagittarius gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a December 12 birthday, in the Leo decan, Leo is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.

Is December 12 a cusp birthday?
No. The Sun is well inside Sagittarius on December 12. The cusp days, when the Sun changes sign, fall around November 23 and December 21. Astrology has no blended cusp signs anyway: at any moment the Sun is in one sign.

Your birthday is only the Sun
A December 12 birthday tells you where the Sun was. The Moon, the Rising sign and eight more planets each sit somewhere of their own, and they depend on the year, the hour and the place. The free calculator shows all of them.
