December 18 carries the Sun to roughly 26° Sagittarius, where the Leo decan makes kindness a visible act, often a theatrical one, and love something to be declared out loud.

December 18 in profile
Late Sagittarius knows the world and wants to share what it has found. At 26° the sign is ripe and slightly impatient, aware that its season is ending and Capricorn waits close by. The decan sub-ruler is the Sun, through Leo, so warmth and personal pride colour every gesture. Jupiter supplies abundance. A December 18 Sagittarius tends to give big, feel big and expect relationships to be lively, loyal and full of shared plans.
Helping others comes with flair. They organise the fundraiser, host the neighbour whose boiler broke, bring a full picnic when asked for sandwiches. They like to see the effect of their help, a smile or a thank you, and they are honest about that. Birthdays of colleagues never pass unmarked when they are around. Their generosity rarely calculates; it answers need with more than enough, then a bit extra.
In love they court openly. Flowers at the office, a surprise weekend, a public toast at a wedding: romance should be seen and enjoyed. They are faithful when admired and restless when ignored. Attraction sparks with people who have their own spark. Jealousy surfaces quickly but rarely lasts. Quieter affection is their growth edge, the small daily kindness that does not need an audience to count.
Sagittarius all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Sagittarius for the whole of December 18, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around November 23 and December 21.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on December 18 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for a Sagittarius
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Sagittarius gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a December 18 birthday, in the Leo decan, Leo is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a December 18 birthday
A weekend away planned entirely for them, with one surprise built in, such as a dinner booked at a table with a view of the water.
