December 13 zodiac sign
December 13 brings the Sun to about 21° Sagittarius, early in the Leo decan, so Jupiter’s big-heartedness shares the stage with the Sun’s love of play, applause and grand gestures.

December 13 in profile
Late Sagittarius carries the sign’s experience: the archer has been out in the world and has stories to show for it. At 21° the third decan is under way, with Leo as sub-sign and the Sun as sub-ruler, so the fire burns with a theatrical glow. Jupiter expands, the Sun dramatises. A December 13 Sagittarius likes life a size larger than strictly necessary, and has the warmth to make others enjoy the scale rather than resent it.
Play is serious business for them. They organise the costume party, design the treasure hunt for a niece’s birthday, paint murals on the garden wall. Creative work feels best when it entertains someone else. Children adore them as the adult who joins the game. Criticism of a project stings briefly, then becomes a challenge to make the next one bigger. Their phone is full of half-filmed ideas for the next show.
Generosity flows easily and sometimes too freely. They pick up the bill, lend the car, give the good seat to a stranger. Help comes with heart, though occasionally with an unspoken expectation of thanks. Friends in a tight spot know exactly whom to call first. Healthier still is giving only what they can give without keeping score, and saying no warmly when the well is low.
Sagittarius all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Sagittarius for the whole of December 13, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around November 23 and December 21.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on December 13 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for a Sagittarius
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Sagittarius gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a December 13 birthday, in the Leo decan, Leo is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.

A December 13 birthday tells you where the Sun was. The Moon, the Rising sign and eight more planets each sit somewhere of their own, and they depend on the year, the hour and the place. The free calculator shows all of them.
