December 5 in profile
Thirteen degrees is Sagittarius in plain form: mutable fire, Jupiter-ruled, generous and restless in equal parts. The Aries sub-sign of this decan gives Mars a say, and Mars likes a chase. So enthusiasm turns into action quickly, and boredom turns into departure just as fast. There is nothing tentative about this stretch of the zodiac. A December 5 Sagittarius prefers an honest yes or no to a maybe and carries that preference into every part of life.
In love they flirt through laughter and dares. A first date might be a hike, a pub quiz or a last-minute train to the coast. They are drawn to people with their own plans and their own opinions, and they lose interest in anyone who simply mirrors them. Commitment comes once they trust that it does not mean standing still.
Rest is active for them. A lie-in feels like wasted daylight, but a long walk with no destination clears the head completely. They recharge in open spaces and in the company of people who make no demands. The trap is filling every weekend until Sunday night arrives with no air left. Leaving one day a month empty, on purpose, keeps the Mars engine from overheating.
Sagittarius all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Sagittarius for the whole of December 5, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around November 23 and December 21.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on December 5 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for a Sagittarius
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Sagittarius gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a December 5 birthday, in the Aries decan, Aries is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a December 5 birthday
A night somewhere with a wide view, a mountain hut or a cabin by the sea, where the only plan is a walk at sunrise.
