December 8 in profile
Sixteen degrees shows Sagittarius steady and typical: Jupiter rules, fire burns, and the mutable mode keeps everything moving. The decan’s sub-sign is Aries, so Mars sharpens the edges. This shows as quick wit, physical confidence and a liking for the spotlight that falls just short of vanity. A December 8 Sagittarius has settled into the sign without losing any spark, and tends to treat each room as an audience waiting for a good story.
They make an impression before they finish their first sentence. A wide gesture, a joke at their own expense, a question that assumes friendship already. At a party they end up near the kitchen telling a travel story that grows a little each time. People remember them, sometimes for the wrong anecdote, and that rarely bothers them. Shy guests often attach themselves to them for the evening.
Their creativity is loud and quick. Improvised music, sketches on napkins, a stand-up set written on the bus: they create best in front of people and under a little pressure. Long solitary projects stall in the middle. Sharing rough drafts early with one trusted audience keeps momentum alive and turns the Mars spark into finished work instead of a drawer of half-begun ideas.
Sagittarius all day
In every year from 1930 to 2040 the Sun was in Sagittarius for the whole of December 8, in every time zone. This is not a cusp birthday: the nearest changes of sign fall around November 23 and December 21.
Your Moon sign depends on the year
The Sun is in the same place on December 8 every year; the Moon is not. It changes sign every two and a half days, so people who share this birthday can have any of the twelve Moon signs. Compatible signs for a Sagittarius
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Sagittarius gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a December 8 birthday, in the Aries decan, Aries is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a December 8 birthday
An evening at an improv or open-mic night, with a quiet offer to sign them up for a beginners’ workshop if they enjoy watching.

Your birthday is only the Sun
A December 8 birthday tells you where the Sun was. The Moon, the Rising sign and eight more planets each sit somewhere of their own, and they depend on the year, the hour and the place. The free calculator shows all of them.
