May 2 in profile
The middle degrees are where Taurus looks most like itself: patient, physical, loyal to what works. On May 2 the Sun is about 11° into the sign and inside the second decan, whose sub-sign is Virgo and sub-ruler Mercury. Venus supplies the appetite for beauty and pleasure, and Mercury supplies the inspection. The result is a person who enjoys fine things but checks the stitching first, and who would rather own three excellent items than a cupboard of average ones.
Their taste is quiet and specific. A May 2 Taurus can tell you why one wool coat drapes better than another, or which bakery uses real butter, and they will happily pay more for the version that lasts. Clothes tend toward natural fabrics and a narrow palette. Trends pass them by without much interest, because they settled on a style years ago and keep refining it.
Home is where all of this comes together. They cook for family on Sundays, remember who likes which dish and keep the house running on routines that rarely change. Relatives rely on them for calm and for practical help with forms or repairs. The edge is a tendency to quietly take on every chore. Handing over one regular job, and letting it be done differently, keeps the household from resting on one pair of shoulders.

Compatible signs for a Taurus
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Taurus gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a May 2 birthday, in the Virgo decan, Virgo is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a May 2 birthday
A cookery class focused on one craft, such as bread, pasta or fermentation, which feeds both their pleasure in food and the Virgo decan’s satisfaction in technique.
