May 6 in profile
Fifteen degrees is the dead centre of Taurus, the point where the fixed earth sign is least influenced by what came before or what comes after. Everything is concentrated: the patience, the need for comfort, the strong attachment to people and places. The second decan’s sub-ruler, Mercury, working through Virgo, keeps this weight from becoming inertia. A May 6 Taurus has an eye for detail and a mind that likes to refine.
Their manner is courteous and unhurried. They shake hands properly, look at the person speaking and rarely interrupt. In a new group they hang back, watching who is kind and who is showing off, and only then join in. People tend to describe them as easy company, and a little hard to read. Their humour arrives late in a conversation, dry and well timed.
Creativity for them is physical and patient. They might knit, restore furniture, paint miniatures or grow vegetables from seed, and they enjoy the slow progress as much as the result. Play means games with rules and texture, a board game with heavy pieces, a long walk with a picnic. The growth edge is letting a project be imperfect enough to share, instead of keeping it until it is flawless.

Compatible signs for a Taurus
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Taurus gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a May 6 birthday, in the Virgo decan, Virgo is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
A gift for a May 6 birthday
A beautifully made board game or a jigsaw of real quality, with weight and texture to the pieces, plus an evening set aside to play it together.

Your birthday is only the Sun
A May 6 birthday tells you where the Sun was. The Moon, the Rising sign and eight more planets each sit somewhere of their own, and they depend on the year, the hour and the place. The free calculator shows all of them.
