May 5 in profile
At about 14°, the Sun on May 5 is in the most stable part of Taurus, a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus. Nothing here is rushed. The second decan, sub-ruled by Mercury through Virgo, gives that stability a plan and a checklist. A May 5 Taurus is the person who reads the instructions, gathers every part before starting and finishes the job properly, then cleans the brushes. Reliability is their natural state and costs them little effort.
Under stress they go quiet and slow down further. Faced with a crisis at work, they will not shout; they make tea, write a list and start at item one. That calm steadies others, though it can hide how much is going on inside. When pressure lasts too long, they dig in and stop listening, and a sudden flash of temper surprises everyone who thought they were fine.
Their work style is steady output with high standards. They prefer a clear brief, a reasonable deadline and enough time to do it right. Meetings that change direction every week frustrate them, while a long project with visible progress suits them perfectly. Managers learn they can hand over the detailed, unglamorous tasks. The useful habit is saying early when a deadline looks unrealistic, instead of absorbing it silently.

Compatible signs for a Taurus
Sun-sign compatibility starts from the element. Taurus gets on most easily with its own element and with the two sextile signs, and feels the strongest pull from its opposite. For a May 5 birthday, in the Virgo decan, Virgo is a natural match. The full charts decide how a real pairing feels.
