Personality and temperament
Libra is the sign of the second opinion. Ask a Libra which restaurant to book and you will hear the case for both, plus a third place nobody mentioned. Some of that is indecision, but much of it is a habit of fairness: a refusal to settle anything before every party has had a hearing. Venus rules the sign, so taste matters too. Libras notice the chipped glass, the harsh overhead light and the guest left out of the conversation.
Cardinal signs begin things, and Libra begins with other people. The Libra friend organises the reunion, drafts the group email and introduces two people who later marry. Air makes the sign think in ideas and relationships more than in moods, so a Libra can discuss a painful subject calmly. Saturn, exalted here, adds a cooler streak: a respect for rules, contracts and promises kept to the letter.
Underneath the pleasant manner sits a surprisingly firm spine. Libras will smooth over a hundred small irritations, then refuse point blank to budge on something they consider unjust. Their own needs are harder. Saying “I don’t mind” is easier than asking for what they want, and resentment can pile up behind the smile until it comes out at an odd moment, over a dishwasher.
